The wrestling team competed in the 12 team Ellsworth Invitational on Saturday Jan 5th Placing 2nd with 126 pts.
The wrestlers wrestled aggressive all day long winning 10 of 12 1st round matches and 4 of 10 semifinal matches. The big surge in team pts came when the Lions won 6 out of 7 consolation semifinal matches putting 10 wrestlers in the finals for Minneapolis. Four wrestlers competed in the championship finals and 6 in the consolation finals. “10 was the most place winners by any team in the tournament Hoisington had the second most with 8.
