The Minneapolis wrestlers won their 4th consecutive conference dual of the season Thursday Jan 31st at Russell.

The dual is Minneapolis’s 4th consecutive N.C.A.A. league victory this year making their current league record 4 – 0 and overall dual record 13 – 4.

Russell took an early 17 – 0 lead winning the 1st three matches in the dual. Beginning in the 125 Lb weight class the lions scored the next 40 points in the dual putting Minneapolis out of reach by the time Russell won another match.

At 125 Lbs Jr. Dusty Greer won by forfeit. At 130 Lbs Sr. Tyler Hamilton won by Dec (2-1). At 135 Lbs Fr. Zac Eaton Won by Major Decision ( 11-1). At 140 Lbs So Adam Klein won by Decision (2-1). 145 Lb Fr. Ty Hamm won by pin.

152 Lb Sr. Alberto Contreras won by forfeit. 160 Lb So Nicolas Torres won by pin. 171 Lb Jr. Jacob Klein won by forfeit.

285 Lbs Fr. Jacob Snider won by forfeit. The final score was Lions 46 Broncos 29.

The win sets up a league title match between Beloit and Minneapolis at Beloit on Thrusday Feb 7th. This will be the Lions 18th season since 1987 to wrestle in the dual that decides the league championship. Finishing 1st in the leaque six times and 2nd eleven times since 1987.
